The city of Ahmadou’s Gate was a wonder due to the prevalence of a bioluminescent ink that allowed for books and artwork to be enjoyed despite the permanent night that befell the world.
 
In years past, the city was struck by a deadly plague that sent the citizens into a panic. Half the citizens of the city died during the plague, and the city of Ahmadou’s Gate was left a shadow of its former self. Eventually, the plague was controlled and things have been getting back to normal.
 
Now, trouble seems to have found its way back to the city. The memories of the plague are still fresh on people’s minds, and a new panic is beginning to set in as citizens have started to die in horrifying ways from another seemingly deadly disease.
